Weather feature is coming to the Google Maps Android version!
When in a foreign place, Google Maps becomes an indispensable application for smartphones. Especially when you go to a foreign place, the Maps application, which facilitates your work, is a must-have application for users.
In addition, the iOS version of the Google Maps application has had a feature that was not available in the Android version for some time. Thanks to this feature, Apple users have been able to view real-time weather conditions in the application for about four years. With today’s news, this feature is also coming to the Android version.
The reason for such a long time gap is reportedly due to Google changing the user interface of the weather feature in the Android version of the application. Additionally, there are claims that the company has developed a standalone weather application for Android.
This feature appeared in the Android 14 QPR1 Beta 2 version. A setting option in the version revealed that Google plans to add weather conditions to Google Maps in December. The feature appears as a small icon showing the temperature below the search section.
When you click on this section, you can see the current temperature in the region, as well as the highest and lowest temperatures of the day and hourly forecasts. Additionally, a person who noticed the feature shared a screenshot of how the feature looks.
